Type: Perennial
Sun / water: Full sun / water as needed
When I plant it: Early spring, summer or fall. This potted one will get covered this winter so it does not freeze.
What I’ve seen
This newly split firecracker is just getting back into the groove of things.
How I use it
Firecracker is a pollinator and a hummingbird favorite. It is usually grown in the ground, not in a pot. Because this one is in a pot, it will not be cold hardy and will need care and cover during cold winter nights.
This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
