Aloe Vera

Forgiving, easy to ignore, and quick to multiply.

Type: Succulent

Sun / water: Full sun, partial shade or full shade / minimal watering

When I plant it: Early spring, summer or fall. Aloe grows year round.

What I’ve seen

Aloe is very forgiving and can be ignored. It can easily get out of control, like this one.

How I use it

Aloe has traditionally been used as a topical ointment. It puts out tall shoots that flower, putting on a lovely display.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
