Purple Possum Passion Fruit

A clearance-rack rescue that winters indoors.

Type: Subtropical vine

Sun / water: Full sun / every third day

When I plant it: Passion fruit is subtropical and cannot tolerate temperatures below 68°F.

What I’ve seen

This was a rescue plant from the clearance rack last year. It spent the winter inside and the late winter and spring in the greenhouse. Passion fruit is subtropical and cannot tolerate cold.

How I use it

The flower is purple, though this plant has not produced any yet.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
