Cosmos

Scatter the seeds once and enjoy them for years.

Type: Self-seeding annual

Sun / water: Full sun / water as needed

When I plant it: Broadcast seeds in late winter, spring or summer. They return year after year.

What I’ve seen

Cosmos come in different colors, though the ones pictured are yellow and orange. These were wildflower seeds broadcast in the area a few years ago that continue to reseed themselves.

How I use it

Pollinator plant that attracts bees and butterflies. Cosmos reseed themselves.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
