Type: Annual
Sun / water: Full sun / daily in summer heat, depending on the weather
When I plant it: Early spring.
What I’ve seen
Marigolds are easy to grow and have added garden benefits. Deadhead the stem, not just the flower head. Toss the dead heads into the mulch and they will reseed themselves.
How I use it
Pollinator plant and a good companion in vegetable gardens, as it also repels some pests.
This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
