Peppercorn

A patient project: two years in and still growing toward fruit.

Type: Tropical vine

Sun / water: Dappled light; it does not like full sun or full shade / does not like to be waterlogged

When I plant it: Early spring or summer.

What I’ve seen

Tropical, not cold tolerant. Wrap the vines around themselves, but do not choke them. It must be brought inside during the winter.

How I use it

This plant is two years old, and it will be a couple more before it produces fruit.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
