Green Beans

Direct sown in late summer or early fall, and good raw from the garden.

Type: Vegetable

Sun / water: Full sun / water every other day

When I plant it: Late summer, early fall. This gives the plants time to establish themselves. I direct sow into the bed.

What I’ve seen

Pink and white buds as they grow into a bean.

How I use it

Mild. Steamed, boiled, added to a stir fry or eaten raw from the garden.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
