Spaghetti Squash

Tolerates some heat; cut it in half lengthwise and bake.

Type: Vegetable (vine)

Sun / water: Full sun / water daily or as needed

When I plant it: Late winter, early spring, early fall. I sow it directly into the bed and trellis the vine.

What I’ve seen

Spaghetti squash has yellow flowers and tolerates some heat before the leaves shrivel and turn brown.

How I use it

Mild. Bake it after cutting it in half lengthwise.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
