Jade

A forgiving succulent: root a cutting in water and go easy on watering.

Type: Houseplant (succulent)

Sun / water: Partial sun / water sparingly

When I plant it: Anytime of year. Start a new jade by cutting off a stem with a sharp pair of garden shears and placing it in water to root.

What I’ve seen

Jades are succulents with juicy leaves. They do not need much water and are content being root bound.

How I use it

There are different varieties of jade. In Florida they can stay outside until the weather turns cold. Monitor how much water it gets during the rainy season.

This profile shares what I have experienced growing this plant in my Central Florida garden. I am not a certified horticulturist, so results in your garden may differ.
