Type: Annual (vine)
Sun / water: Full sun / water as needed
When I plant it: Late winter.
What I’ve seen
Malabar spinach grows on a vine and produces individual leaves, not clumps. It is a vigorous climber and needs to be trellised or given some type of climbing support. It produces purple “pods” that are actually seeds and drop everywhere.
How I use it
Mild. Eaten raw in a salad or cooked in dishes.
