Peas

Pod peas for stir fry when young, shelling peas once they mature.

Type: Vegetable (vine)

Sun / water: Full sun / water daily or as needed

When I plant it: Early fall, late winter.

What I’ve seen

Small white flowers that turn into pods. They have small vining “fingers,” so a trellis or support is ideal.

How I use it

Moderate flavor. These are pod peas: picked before the seeds are fully ripe, the pods can go into a stir fry. Once the seeds mature, shell them to steam, boil, add to stews and soups, or eat raw.
