Type: Hot pepper
Sun / water: Full sun / water as needed
When I plant it: Late winter, early to mid spring. I start them in pots and transfer them to beds. They love summer heat but can show heat stress with yellowing leaves.
What I’ve seen
White blooms before fruiting into a new pepper. Tabasco starts small and green and turns red as it grows, but the peppers stay small. Tabasco is Thai hot, so wear gloves when handling.
How I use it
Thai hot. Tabasco peppers are small and pack a BIG punch! Use accordingly in soup, stew or a marinade.
